The Annenberg School for Communication Masters Association (ASCMA) is a student organization for graduate students in Communication Management and Global Communication at USC. ASCMA was founded in 1999 by a group of Communication Management students who were committed to making valuable career connections and maximizing their time at Annenberg. Providing programs and events to enhance the academic experience of Communication Management and Global Communication students is the primary goal of ASCMA. Additionally, ASCMA works to provide student members opportunities to network with each other, faculty, alumni and industry professionals. There are no membership dues to join the association, all students enrolled in the Communication Management and Global Communication programs are automatically ASCMA members.
ASCMA is managed by an Advisory Board composed of students from the two programs. The Board is appointed by the ASCMA President at the beginning of each academic year. Board responsibilities cover the different activities of the organization (Programs, Social Events, Finance, and Graduate and Professional Student Senate- GPSS). The ASCMA Board meets the first Tuesday of every month at 5:30pm in the Annenberg Grad Lounge (ASC Room 207). Meetings are open to all ASCMA members.
