Hey Everyone,
This week we got to introduce AnnenBlog to a high-powered, star-studded Annenberg audience. We did a skit in class where I pretended that I was David Letterman, Tze-Wei played the part of "Paulette Shaffer" - and did the evening's Googlejockeying - and Johanna and David were the fabulous guests. We even trotted out a Top Ten List - the Top Ten Preconceived Notions about Online Communities. "#2. eBay is a good place to buy UCLA English degrees" was one of better laugh-getters (and on that note, it is 31-6 SC at halftime as I type this; looks like it will be Hello Rose Bowl for the Trojans!)
Anyway, we got to update our classmates and TAs on the goings-on at AnnenBlog, and introduce the community to none other than: Charles Annenberg, Dean Geoffrey Cowan, Director of the School of Communication Larry Gross, Director of USC's Center for the Digital Future Jeffrey Cole, and of course our leader and professor-extraordinaire John Beck. It was a lot of fun. We also got to learn about the other communities our classmates have developed, the list of which is in "Blogroll Please..." here on this page of AnnenBlog.
The whole night was a lot of fun, and it was especially cool that such VIPs were on hand to see and learn about AnnnenBlog. I think this is another indication that all of us AnnenBloggers are on to something big here....
Take care for now, and.....why are you reading this when you should be watching the game or studying? :)
-Eddie
